How to Decorate a Festive Red, White, and Blue Flag Cake

No red, white, and blue celebration would be complete without an All-American Flag Cake. Here are two versions of flag cake for you to try: a no-bake cheesecake and a baked white cake. For a stunning holiday effect, place a couple of sparklers into the top of the cake, and when darkness falls and fireworks begin to burst, light the sparklers and dish up dessert.

Salute the flag cake!

1. No-Bake Cheesecake Flag Cake

This bright and festive flag cake cheesecake won't heat up your kitchen when you make it with a creamy no-bake cheesecake mixture on top of a graham cracker crust. Use blueberries for the stars and strawberries for the stripes, and you've got a gorgeous flag cake dessert. Watch the video to see Chef John put it together.

2. American Flag Cake

This stunning red, white, and blue flag cake starts with white cake mix to simplify things so you can concentrate on creating the layers that turn each slice into its own flag. You'll want to watch the video to see how it all stacks up—it's actually easier than you might think.
