We Tried the Meat Mountain From Arby's Secret Menu

Did we conquer the Mountain, or did the Mountain conquer us?

Even fast food restaurants have their secrets. In this case, it's the secret menu, which thankfully isn't a very well-kept secret. A secret menu is kind of like a secret password — all you need to know in order to get what you want is what to say. Fast food and fast-casual restaurants (Think In-N-Out Burger and Starbucks) have the means and ingredients to make special items that aren't listed on their menus, hence the secret.

One such item is Arby's Meat Mountain. Now Arby's is already known for having the meats, but the Meat Mountain takes that to the next level. This sandwich slides six different types of meat (chicken tenders, ham, turkey, pastrami, roast beef, and bacon) between two buns, so this thing is a tower.

It's also important to remember that for that much meat, you'll be paying more than what your average Arby's roast beef sandwich would cost. Stefan got his Meat Mountain as a meal, and everything totaled to over 16 dollars.

Cost isn't the only barrier. The Meat Mountain is huge, exceeding the size of a human mouth. But nevertheless, Stefan persisted and actually took a perfect first bite. So, what did he think?

Stefan expected the Meat Mountain would overwhelm him taste-wise, but surprisingly, the six meats and two cheeses complemented each other quite well. However, we can't lie: The experience was uncomfortable. Stefan was full within a few bites, and quickly realized he didn't even need the accompaniments that came in his meal. You will get a few meals out of the Meat Mountain, so you can either tackle it slowly, or split it with a few meat-loving friends. The choice is yours.
