These Fudgy 2-Ingredient Brownies Are a Thing of Dessert Beauty

Meet the easiest flourless brownies you’ll ever make.

Ever had an instant craving for a chocolate treat, yet no brownie mix in the pantry? All you need are 2 ingredients to whip up chewy, delicious brownies in no time — and P.S., one of them is Nutella.

Trust me when I say I was a skeptic to this super-simple, miracle-like recipe before trying it for myself. But, lucky for us, this hack actually works. Try these warm brownies over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or topped with a blanket of powdered sugar for extra decadence. If you prefer more cake-like treats, add in a ½ cup of flour after incorporating the Nutella.

How to Make 2-Ingredient Nutella Brownies

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of Nutella (or other chocolate-hazelnut spread)
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs with a hand mixer (or stand mixer) on medium speed for about 6-8 minutes, until pale yellow and triple the volume.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, warm the Nutella in 30-second intervals, stirring between, until thinner in consistency. Slowly transfer the Nutella into the egg mixture being careful not to heat the eggs, and whip for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Using a rubber spatula, transfer batter to the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely, about 1 hour. Optional: dust with powdered sugar after cutting into pieces.

Note: for more cake-like brownies, add a ½ cup of flour to the egg mixture just after incorporating the Nutella.
