Barrett first joined the Dotdash Meredith Test Kitchen as a summer intern. In her current role as a Recipe Tester & Developer, she focuses on both print and digital culinary content for DDM's home and food/bev brands. In her free time, she enjoys testing cookbook recipes, making elaborate meals for family and friends, and trying new restaurants around the world. Barrett has been cooking her whole life and has a passion for international cuisine. She celebrates her Italian heritage by making homemade pasta weekly and her family's recipe book is her most prized possession.

Barrett Heald is a recipe tester and recipe developer in the Dotdash Meredith Test Kitchen helping to create and perfect recipes for brands, such as Allrecipes, Better Homes & Gardens, and Midwest Living. She is a life-long cook and spends every day in the Test Kitchen honing her culinary skills. Her attention to detail has made her a go-to for retesting complex recipes and providing helpful tips for the home cook.

Education

Barrett received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Marquette University.
