I can't get enough of the spicy chips.

World Market is an underrated shop. Sure, it’s a little pricey at times, but there are some good finds, many of which are totally worth the price. Just this past month, I stocked up on some cute stationery items I couldn’t get anywhere else—thank you World Market for feeding my continued Hello Kitty hyper-fixation.

Amidst the adorable stationery, the chic plates, and accent pillows, also lies a gold mine of snacks and drinks from various countries. Since my first visit, I’ve become somewhat of a World Market snack connoisseur. Here are my top five that I now fill my basket with.

The 5 Best Snacks at World Market

Samyang Buldak Carbonara Hot Chicken Ramen Noodles

As a recent college graduate, I’ve eaten my fair share of dorm dinners, including (of course) ramen. But arguably my favorite ramen to indulge in is Buldak. While I can get this brand at any other supermarket, World Market is always stocked up on this Korean brand and offers other flavors for me to try from time to time—although the hot chicken flavor will always be near and dear to my heart.

Espinaler Olive Oil Potato Chips with Hot Sauce

Spice and chips: my two favorite combinations. And no brand gets it better than Espinaler. These chips are fried in Spanish olive oil and coated in a mix of their signature hot sauce. But these also should come with a warning as you will be tempted to consume the whole bag in one sitting, as I have on more than one ocassion.

Mezzo Mix Soda

This German specialty was first introduced to me by one of my best friends in college. She recounted how it was her favorite soda to get overseas when visiting her family in Germany. Since first trying it, I have been obsessed with the drink. The subtle orange flavor rivals Fanta’s overpowering flavor. I just wish they sold these in packs!

Kasugai Mango Cream Frappe Hard Candy

I’m a huge fan of Japanese snacks and World Market has a plethora of them. From chocolate-dipped Pocky sticks to the fun-shaped snacks that you have to work to make, there's always plenty to try. But if you’re looking for a soft launch into the world of Japanese snacks, I recommend Kasugai’s mango hard candy. These candies are made in Japan with Hokkaido cream, which gives the mango flavor a sweet vanilla aftertaste. I especially love how these are each individually wrapped so I can pack a few in my purse or grab a few as a midnight snack.

Sticky Fingers Lemon Poppy Seed Scone

Okay, these are less of a snack because you have to make them but they’re just as easy: Simply add water, mix, and bake! Sticky Fingers has plenty of flavors to offer up but my favorite is this lemon mix, especially when drizzled with jam.
