I don't know if I did something wrong, but I really didn't think these cookies were very good at all. I'll give it a 2 star only because the recipe made quite a few cookies. Won't make these again. I'll go back to my old recipe from Betty Crocker's Cookie Book
I'm not sure how the others thought this was so good, but to me it was so bland, it was like "hospital" food. I followed the recipe to the letter and it wasn't at all tasty - nothing at all. It might be better if you added fresh celery and onions, but as it is, I wouldn't make it again.
This is a great and easy recipe to make a little ahead for brunch guests. I've made it twice and everyone loved it. Only alternation I made was to increase cinnamon to 1 tbsp. But, then I love cinnamon.
I've purchased something similar from a high end kitchen store for years. THIS IS BETTER. I made it just as directed and it turned out wonderful. I also have a non-chocolate grandson, so I made a second batch using white chocolate and it was just as good. With the white version, I used pecan pieces and it was really good. So yummy and not hard to make.
I have made potato salads for many years and this is by far the best ever. Next time I will double it - 1 for me and 1 for the rest! It is fantastic and so simple. 1 dish to wash and 1 fry pan -- that's it!!
