I liked the recipe fine. I made some changes. I used self rising and omitted the salt and baking soda. I used 1/2 cup brown and white sugar each. I also added a tsp of vanilla.I made muffins because this was breakfast. It came out to 12 muffins and I baked them at 350 for 20 minutes. My husband loved them!

I used the original recipe and it turned out wonderful. I will make this again. It’s so easy and delicious!

I used coconut oil instead of shortening. They turned out nice and crunchy. Loved them. Just like we like them
