This is now my go-to pickle recipe. For 6 large jars, I need to double the vinegar mixture. I skip the ice part, but the whole cucumbers typically sit in the fridge for a few days (out of laziness) before I'm ready to pickle/can - not sure if makes a difference.
This ham came out amazing! What's even better is that I only spent about $10 on the entire recipe -- compare that to the $$$ of those brand name honey baked hams! We had lots left over which we froze, taking small amounts out for ham with breakfast over the next few months. Absolutely worth it and will definitely repeat!
I made this and followed it exactly. Delicious and perfect! I made it with leftover ham from Chef John's Honey Glazed Ham recipe - also absolutely perfect - leftovers from Christmas. Would make again and again!
Delicious! All of the fruit I had was frozen, I also threw in about a cup of frozen kale, so it came out super thick. I also used a strawberry-rhubarb yogurt because it was all I had - but it complimented it perfectly. I would definitely make again, next time with fresh stuff instead of all frozen.
