Really good! I bought a bag of apples on sale and needed to use them up so I made some applesauce and froze it. I like to use applesauce instead of oil in my baking. I used half white and half brown sugar, slightly less than the recipe called for. Much better than store bought and worked out great in my banana bread.
Loved this! Used more garlic and fresh parsley instead of dried. Followed top reviewer's advice regarding baking/broiling. Cut down the broiling time because it was getting brown. Pulled out my baster and basted several times during broiling. Wow this was good. Put the sauce into a small skillet and stirred in a little cornstarch mixed with water to make a garlic butter sauce. That was excellent! Served with almond rice pilaf and steamed green beans. Definitely a keeper!
Out of this world! Happened to have everything on hand and made these on a rainy Sunday morning. Now I have a yummy healthy sweet snack for the week. Would definitely make again!
Liked this a lot! Didn't find it runny at all, like some other reviewers. Great way to use up leftover Easter ham. Halved the recipe and made it in my round deep-dish pie dish. Would definitely make again!
Made these for Easter. Used 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1 1/4 cups white. Used 5 carrots and cut the sugar in half. Used 1/4 cup applesauce and 1/4 cup vegetable oil. Added 1/3 cup raisins and 1/3 cup walnuts. Made 12 muffins and 3 mini loaves. The glaze was kinda weird. I didn't like the brown color. Might use cream cheese frosting or plain glaze without the cinnamon next time. Loved the low calorie count on these! Would definitely make again.
