Last night, I doubled the batch and was able to make three 8” pies. My hard to please husband said: “ this is really really good. It’s richer than pumpkin pie.” We each ate two pieces, then he went to bed and I ate the last two. Thankfully I froze one pie. Now if I can keep the other for company tomorrow!

We found it to be yummy with ice cream! The walnuts were a nice addition. I did not have white balsamic vinegar and substituted regular balsamic. The divided brown sugar didn’t specify in the ingredients list how to divide and it threw me off . I dumped all of it in the crumble mix before realizing the directions said 3/4 cup, so I added a loose 1/4 cup to the berries. I also split the recipe into two 5x7 glass dishesNot sure what the vinegar does and may omit in the future. Never taste white balsamic.

I'd give it six stars if I could. I didn’t have buttermilk and used sour cream instead. Didn’t hurt it at all, so it’s good to know you can substitute and still get decent results. Best bran muffin I've ever had! Going to make them again as they didn’t last the day.

Used brown sugar and regular salt. Tasted fine but was disappointed they don’t flatten much. Should’ve used butter like the other reviewer . I did like the coconut flavour the oil lends, but I won’t be making these again.

I followed the recipe except, I didn’t remove skin or seeds and let my immersion blender take care of it. A delicious creamy soup that I found to be a bit too salty as written . I will reduce the salt next time as there definitely will be one. It’s harvest time!

These are dangerous if you are watching carbs. Delicious and addictive. One bite and they’re gone!
