Such an easy recipe! I used all of the exact measurements of ingredients, including Mayfield buttermilk. However, the batter seemed very stiff so I added extra buttermilk, first 1/4 cup, and then a bit more. Turned out amazing!
Delicious and easy recipe! I do concur with the reviewer who suggested doing a “dry run” with your oven the day before. My oven was VERY slow to heat up and it ended up going in a little later than I anticipated. Put the roast in, set the timer to turn the oven off while we were out, and we came home from Christmas Eve worship to a beautifully done and delicious prime rib roast.
Amazing! Loved these cookies. I do admit, I intentionally made them chocolate mint… added 2 tsp peppermint extract and crushed candy canes in addition to the choc chips…no nuts. Chilled the dough before baking. SO delish and chewy after 9 minutes.
Yum- what a home run! We don’t like olives so we used toasted pine nuts. We didn’t have fresh basil, so we used dried. A winner to have with our Mediterranean dinner menu!
This is my best, most requested cookie ever! The first time I made it, I followed the recipe to a T. Now I have made it probably 25 times! I use 1 cup craisins and one cup pistachios. Sometimes I chop them, sometimes I don’t - but they always come out wonderful! I have made them with slivered almonds, as another cook has, and that’s great too! I use a whole teaspoon of almond extract and about a tablespoon of grated orange peel as well.
We made this recipe into apple pancakes by substituting one cup unsweetened applesauce. (I had started the batter and then realized I did not have any pumpkin!) all the spices just the same. Everyone loved them!
