We liked this. The two of us, one Ecuadorian, the other from the USA, thought the recipe called for a little too much cumin and a bit too much cilantro. So next time will use 1/2 tsp of cumin and 1/2 bunch of cilantro. Also may add a tsp of Aji Peruano seasoning powder for a bit more traditional flavor!
This turned out great! Used pepperoni and sausage instead of bacon since that's all we had. The croutons were completely absorbed and didn't taste them but they added flavor and bulk to the dish. Had to cover it about 1/2 way through to prevent the cheese from browning too much and then when done it really puffed up. Thought we were having a soufflé! But that quickly calmed done. It was delicious,
What a simple yet delicious recipe for a basic biscuit! Halved the recipe and added some freshly grated cheese for flavor. Served with soft salted butter to make them extra rich and tasty. Will make again!
This was excellent! Beef was very tender. More like a pot roast. Took the advice of other reviews and put mushrooms on the bottom of the slow cooker before adding the beef. Added vegetables (carrots, celery and potatoes) about 4 hours into the cooking time. Overall, it took about 8 hours. Thickened the gravy with water/cornstarch mixture (also recommended by other reviews). Served with a fresh green salad for an easy one-pot meal
The technique (preparation) is spot on. Browning the chicken, removing and then cooking the onions/garlic before adding the now spiced chicken back in along with the coconut cream/water was spot on! But the flavor is a bit off. Too much water for the amount of coconut cream. Made as written, it turned out a bit watery and not enough flavor. Added two teaspoons of coconut extract and two teaspoons of coconut sugar to balance out the flavors. Next time, will use about 1/2 the water but still plan to add some coconut extract and sugar!
Easiest and best tasting bread I've ever made! Used bread flour instead of all purpose flour. Plus used same flour instead of corn meal. Took about 17 minutes at 550 but that was no big deal. The 4 loaves - 2 at time - came out perfect!
