This was fantastic. I browned it first, wrapped it in bacon and added some sliced onion. Also I had put it together to soon, so it marinated in the sauce awhile, but would do that again intentionally. I added potatoes in, but I think as other photos show, rice would be a much better side dish with this recipe.
This was my first attempt at making a rye bread. It was fun and I'm proud of how it came out. I love the texture and flavor. It is definitely a keeper! Although I think my flour dusting, may have been more of a drenching, lol
I must have done something wrong. My rice was super mushy and I browned it even before adding it. My chicken was a bit dry too. I covered the pan, was I suppose to? I have never cooked a rice dish, that wasn't covered and recipe didn't specify. So maybe that is where I went wrong. Or perhaps my cast iron Dutch oven was to small and I had to add to much broth to cover, or my chicken to big, lol. I don't know but the flavors were great! It definitely would have been a 5 star, but perhaps that was my fault .
I thought these were very very good. My husband and I both agree that they could be a bit spicier, so will try using some red pepper flakes next time. Definitely a keeper. Thank You!
This was very good. I really liked the marinade it wasn't to tart , a perfect balance in my opinion. Tomatoes were to mushy for me the next day, but it was still good!
