The sherry really set this apart and was a great compliment in flavor. Aside from that this is a pretty basic pot pie. I do think the gravy was too thick and will not add so much flour next time. Thanks for sharing
I found this to be bland and relied upon using a flavorful pork sausage to bring this to life. I even used v8 instead of just tomato juice. It needs a big help of salt pepper and something else. Good starting point but as written it is simply a fills your stomach kinda meal.
Simple and great flavor. Only had regular soy sauce so used half for that. Different flavor notes came through and the charred parts of the chicken were incredible! Cant wait to use it again.
Simple recipe and turned out great! Used Ritz instead of saltines and a combo of Ritz and panko for the crust. Crab shined through and couldnt have been better!
I have never made one of these before and never eaten one. Mine turned out with layers and had an eggy souffle texture. The flavor was good and not needlessly sweet which we enjoyed. But I suspect I baked the initial layer too long creating the layer effect. I wish chef had provided a picture for reference. I baked an additional ten minutes hoping it would puff but it barely did, probably because I put in too many cherries. Next time i think i will add fewer and bake strictly to the times specified. Maybe it will be better. Vanilla was great though.
This recipe has huge ranch flavor and the sauce is incredible over mashed potatoes! The chicken was very tender. I did use fresh spinach and it worked great. The sauce thickened after a few mins on the plate. Fantastic recipe!
