I thought this was quite tasty! I subbed ground turkey for the beef and sausage, but added Fresh garlic and sausage seasoning for flavor, and I also subbed no salt added beef broth for the water and bouillon. I liked that this was not super spicy, but still very flavorful.
Excellent flavor! I used sautéed fresh spinach and omitted the water chestnuts, as I forgot to buy them. I really liked using the leek soup mix as opposed to the vegetable or onion soup mix. This was fantastic as a veggie dip! The end result was like a thin dressing- I probably should have squeezed more liquid out of the spinach- so I blended in some cream cheese and that helped thicken it up some more. Really liked this - will make it again!
These were pretty good. I had an old recipes that was very similar - the cream of tartar makes these cookies very light and flaky. I like to add lemon or orange zest and extract for a bit of a different flavor.
Had fresh rosemary, thyme and sage to use up so I made this. Love it! Would be nice with orange zest, too. I think I'll keep some of this on hand at all times!
Very good, but I halved the sugar (and it was still a bit sweet - however if you add a splash of vinegar, you get a nice sweet and tangy sauce) and I did use fresh green beans cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Since I used fresh, I let them stew for a good half hour. One of my favorite green bean dishes!
