This cake was made just as the directions had it except for 1 additional tsp of butter extract and 1 tsp of rum extract. This made for a wonderfully flavored, super moist, and delightfully delicate cake. Smooth as velvet.

I made this into the most delectable cupcakes 🧁 😋. Beautiful, airy, fluffy, and moist. The substitution to the recipe was made using cake flour. The sugar and shortening were beaten to a creamy consistency prior to incorporating the other ingredients. This made the cupcakes very light.

This came out as expected, very nice. I used 3/4 cups heavy cream and 1/4 cup milk and omitted the butter. I also added a 1/2 tsp cinnamon along with the nutmeg. It was eaten with cool whip. Yummy!
