I made this recipe yesterday, and aside from leaving out the actual chopped onion (I am just an avid hater of all onions) I didn't change a thing, and they were the best sloppy joes I ever had. For the barbecue sauce, I used "Scott's Savory BBQ Sauce" recipe also on this site. Thank you so much for posting, your recipe, along with Scott's sauce was just excellent.
I have prepared this chili several times and it came out great. I made it again today and this time instead of using a whole green or red pepper, I used half of a red bell pepper, 1 cherry pepper and 1 poblano pepper. I also added about a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. It came out really good and plenty hot and spicy!
