I think the recipe is great. I think the picture barely resembles the recipe. What is up with that? Plantain chips? That is clearly not the bread described.

I think, first and foremost, that people who alter the original without trying it first as presented are just wrong. That being said, it's a wonderful recipe with a ton of variables that could be adapted to tailor it to you or your families needs. But jeez people...rate the recipe...not your version.

Absolutely FABULOUS! Choose mushrooms wisely...use crimini mushrooms or good gosh if you can get them morels would take this to another planet! Don't use marsala cooking wine. It's way too salty among other things. Use the drinking stuff. This might help you from ending up like Sue1.

Great basic recipe. Quick, easy and flavorful. If you are using ordinary sliced bread make sure an lay the pieces out on the rack in the oven for about an hour before cooking though to have a firmer piece of toast. You can speed that up with a little heat just dry the outsides a skosh.

I gave it a 3 because it LOOKS good. I absolutely HATE it when someone post a picture of the finished product and it contains things that are NOT in the recipe! Somebody want to tell me what the other two ingredients are on the top of this chicken besides the "only four" ingredients this plate boasts to be all about?
