I was so happy to find it! I’ve run out of ideas for chicken and didn’t want to bread mine. This was so easy and I already had everything in my pantry. I couldn’t find my chili powder, so used Tabasco sauce instead to get that spicy flavor. It all disappeared, so I think my family loved it. Thank you!!
So happy to have found this recipe! I bought a 3lb top sirloin roast as it was on sale. I was surprised to find I had most of the other ingredients in my kitchen already. No beef cubes, so I just added another 1/2 c beef bouillon. Used minced garlic instead of sliced. No green peppers, so I added wedges of cabbage instead. No harm in adapting, right? Came out delicious!
I tried this recipe, but found it seemed to be missing something. I couldn’t put my finger on it until I saw other’s comments about cumin missing. Next time I make it I’ll add cumin as well.
For my first batch, I added a heck of a lot more tobasco sauce just to give it a bit more kick. Also, I used two cans of low sodium diced tomatoes instead of the tomato sauce. I didn’t have cannalini beans, so added black beans. Thanks for sharing. My husband enjoyed what I made (he’s not a chili connoisseur like me.)
This was delicious and moist. I didn't have any Worcestershire sauce, so I substituted red wine vinegar instead. I also used Olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I covered with foil for the first half of cooking time. Loved it. My pork chops were thin, so I baked for a total of 40 minutes instead of a full hour. Will definitely make again!
Delicious! Thanks so much for posting your recipe! I had to make due with what I had in the house, so I used 2 cans of tuna, elbows, 4-cheese Mexican shredded, a Cauliflower medley instead of the mixed veggies, and added French fried onions. Still came out terrific.
