My first time cooking a whole turkey and I was having 25 people over. I decided to try this recipe, hoping the turkey would turn out moist and not taste dry. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to prep and cook. Everyone loved my turkey!! I put a quartered onion (without peeling), a few garlic cloves also in the husk, and a sprig of sage in the turkey cavity. I also rubbed the outside of the turkey with butter, and an herb mix of sage, rosemary, oregano, and thyme. I'll definitely use this recipe again the next time I cook turkey.

I used this recipe to make my first ever venison stew, and it turned out beautifully! I rolled the venison in flour before browning instead of adding tablespoons of flour. I also added one stalk of celery, and a couple of turnips (peeled & chopped) to the stew. I cooked it in a dutch oven for about 2 hours 45 minutes. My house smelled amazing and everyone loved it. I'll definitely make this again.

This was my first time making turkey gravy from scratch and it was simply amazing! Everyone loved my gravy! I didn't have the turkey gravy packets so I substituted brown gravy mix packets. It was wonderful.

I also added 1 chopped yellow onion, and substituted 2 fresh red chili peppers for the chili paste and substituted poblano pepper for the red bell pepper. I served this over pasta instead and with plain yogurt on the side; my husband even put some of the yogurt on top. He loved it and said it reminded him of Turkish food. Will definitely keep this recipe in the regular dinner rotation!
