I reduced the amount of sugar by 1/4. I used half applesauce and oil. I used flaxseed instead of eggs. I tasted delicious. Even my husband who is not vegan raved about it.
Since I am vegan I sub the meat with veggie protein. I added just a hint of vegan cream cheese and sprinkled the top with vegan parm. Its comfort food at its best. Not something you should have all of the time due to the fat content but if your craving comfort food (yes, we vegans like comfort food) then this is your recipe!
