Several steps, but well worth it!!! This recipe will become a staple in our house. Recommend making the mashed potatoes a little stiffer than normal to hold up when stew is ladled over them. I also used about a quarter of bag of baby carrots instead of chopping carrots.
This was a huge hit at our Christmas party. My only suggestion is that you put the gelatin and cranberry sauce mix in fridge for about 3 1/2 hrs before moving to step three. This allowed the mixture to start to congeal so the apples, walnuts, and pineapples are suspended in the gelatin mixture. This is a super easy and yummy recipe.
