Tallulahbelle Aubergine

This was my first attempt at making challah and it turned out amazing!I decided to make Hannukah challah on a whim, very last minute, so I had to make a couple of substitutions. I used butter instead of margarine and AP flour instead of bread flour, because I didn't have either on hand. The bread came out divine. It was slightly sweet, soft, and absolutely delicious!I quartered the recipe and it made 2 good sized loaves.We ate one that night and used the second for the best French toast. My husband doesn't normally like French toast but he did with this bread. It's a French toast game changer.There is no need to try another recipe.
