They taste good, but the directions would’ve been helpful if they said what the internal temperature of the meat should be, and whether or not they should be covered in the oven with either foil or a glass top?
The only mistake I made was not pounding the pork loin down thin enough and therefore was not able to put in all the dressing I wanted to, but the dressing served on the side worked out very well also. I used both Granny Smith and red delicious apples chopped up, along with the cranberries it was an excellent taste. I used no salt at all because of the amount of fat on the pork loin and since I wrapped bacon around the entire loin, that added enough salt and excellent juices to the mix. My girlfriend loved it, and I’m 65 years old! We will certainly have this again. Thanks for the recipe!
I made it exactly as the recipe recipe showed, however I would strongly suggest that you refrigerate the batter for at least an hour so they can solidify to make the balls easier. Otherwise
Instead of using the packaged potatoes and packaged hashbrowns, I used fresh whipped potatoes from KFC and grated one russet potato and also used Bermuda onion instead of white. The onion flavor kicked it up a bit, smoked bacon tasted even better! Very simple to make, easy cleanup, and it made eight beautiful pancakes. I’m no professional photographer so the picture you see are two of the potatoes with a layer of applesauce and a dollop of sour cream! Absolutely fantastic and highly recommend to all! Ya dint af to be Irish ta njoy!!
