Not a bad base, but definitely needs some work. First just skip the yogurt, no one needs that nonsense. Then substitute 1 or 2 large fresh jalapeños for the can of chilis, but then pour in about 1/4 cup of tomatilla salsa for that green chili flavor. Odds are it still won't be very spicy, but whatever that is what hot sauce is for. One & a half cups of broth is clearly inadequate, just fill that pot with a solid quart. I have no idea why anyone would use just 1 clove of garlic, you need at least 3/4 of an entire bulb, a clove is a snack not an ingredient. Oh and add salt, lots of salt.
