Based on the reviews I had really high hopes for this recipe, but it was very disappointing. The biscuits barely rose, and the bottoms burned well before the inside was done. Back to Betty!

Great recipe, delicious flavor. I didn't have any almond extract, and I didn't miss it. I didn't add extra butter, these don't need it. The dough was perfect for the cookie press, not too soft or sticky. This is only the second time I've used a cookie press, and more than half the cookies were perfectly shaped.

Perfect! In fact, I won first place at the Morgan County Fair (Ohio) with this recipe! I followed it exactly, except I eyeballed the lemon zest, it may have been a little more or less. It did take nearly an hour to bake, but my oven is temperamental. Thank you so much for my blue ribbon!

I followed the directions exactly, I don't know what went wrong, but these were dense, didn't rise much, and tasted too eggy. There was no chance of them collapsing (even after they sat out for several hours).

I wish I'd read the reviews before I made this- that is definitely too much salt. Other than that they were good, but even my not-picky-at-all grandson couldn't finish them. And I only got eight 4 inch pancakes, not 12.

Absolutely wonderful, made it exactly as written. It's going into the weeknight rotation!
