I'm in the Philippines where mango is "king" and plentiful. Followed directions but did not let the pudding cool completely. Cut up fresh mango for topping and enjoyed a slightly warm, delicious and very satisfying dessert. Will definitely do this again!!
Looking for something fast and simple...This is positively magic. I did drain off all the water but about 2 tablespoons and then combined with butter and brown sugar. Let them sit for about an hour before serving. There were no leftovers.
My picky 5 year old had 2 servings!! Nuff said!
Uno night at Gma and Gpops house and these were the hit of the night. I took someone else's advice and added a few tablespoons of well drained pineapple to the cream cheese.. Scraped out the seeds and membranes from peppers (they don't call these "firecrackers" for no reason!!) and proceeded to stuff with cream cheese mixture. I did fry the bacon to just beyond the raw stage but still limp and before it began to "shrink". I then put them into a 350 degree oven and baked them for 30-35 minutes or until the bacon had become crispy (the pre-frying really helped to make the bacon crisp when they were all done). No one hesitated to take the last one which ended up being divided between hubby and son-in-law!! Excellent party food, game day, card night, movie night..you name it. We loved them and they will make a repeat appearance!!
Any weeknight when guests are coming and you need a quick and super easy no-fuss dessert, this is it. I used chocolate graham crackers, cheesecake pudding and a French vanilla. Nuked the "canned" frosting for just a few seconds and used about 1/2 a can. Five adults and 3 kids wiped it out with a dab left over to go into honey's lunch the next day.
Not to pop anyone's bubble but I've been making this for 20 plus years. I have never blended it. I put it in a quart jar and shake it up, pour what I need to cover meat I've put in a ziplock bag, and saved what's left in the fridge until the next time. I also add about 3 tablespoons brown sugar. It's an excellent marinade for beef, pork and chicken!!
Didn't use the MSG, cut the sour cream by half and slathered this bowlful of super goodness over a slab of salmon before baking . Not a bite left!! DIL asked me to write the recipe down for her before she left. She thinks I'm a genius!! TY for a great recipe!!!!!
