My 3 year old, 6 year old and I loved this. The fresh herbs from the garden made this dish. I didn't have bread crumbs and just substituted ground oatmeal instead. Because I was preparing and grilling with 3 little kids, I just mixed the fresh goat milk feta right in and YUM! We will definitely be making these again. As previous reviewers stated, they are good with a spicy or yogurt sauce.
These were quite flavorful. I made the orange version with changes per reviewers suggestions; added 1 egg and a bit of baking soda, put a bit more of zest in for flavor, lessened the sugar a bit too and added my home-made orange marmalade instead of food coloring (why add coloring???) Will make again!
I decreased the sugar + cornstarch + butter and used more popcorn than asked for to create a bit healthier version for the kids and I. Added a bit of baking soda per a reviewers suggestion. The coating is light. I reccomend working quickly after you take the mixture off the stove - the cooler it gets, the harder it is to spread. I lined my pans with foil which made for an easy clean up. There is NO way this treat will last more than an hour in my household - it is a hit with all ages.
YUMMY base - I added garlic, shredded Zuchini, more parmasean and kale (we all need to eat more veggies) to the recipie, so I guess it is more my recipie than this one which is why I only gave it a 4.
I love the garlic twist to this salad. Very refreshing. I know it is better if it sits over night, but we ate it all in one day. Ended up adding crasins too.
Fabulous dessert! Very easy to make and way better than pie. We used fresh pecans instead of walnuts and cooked it slightly longer than suggested. Great cold!
