I made this for a church picnic and it was devoured. Really good recipe! I used 93/7 ground beef and did not have any fat to skim off. I found it easier to get the texture that I wanted by adding more water. This helped break apart the beef in the Dutch oven and worked really well. I made a lot so I bulked up the recipe using 4.5lbs of ground beef. Looked like soup once all of the ingredients were added, but I let it simmer for over an hour and it thickened exactly like you would get at a primo deli. It is a great recipe.
