So good! We used provolone, of course. Also, added oregano, ground bay leaf, and white pepper. Our meat could have been more thinly sliced, but the flavor was incredible! We had sauteed mushrooms on the side for whoever wanted some.
I made this with about half the chicken and sauce but the full box of ziti. I can't think of any time that I would be feeding 20 people with just one main course. It tasted great!
I added mexicorn to the cornbread and used canned chili with the hamburger so I didn't have to make another trip to the store. It was great! Needed a little more time to get the center of the bread done. Added cumin so it had that authentic flavor.
Made this with boneless skinless breast, so the time in the oven was much shorter. Used more rice and less water, but more Better Than Bouillon (broth) than this recipe called for, so it had a richer flavor. It was a huge hit!
