The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I thought as written, it's a little thin. After blending the soup, I made a roux (I didn't measure, but I think it was 4T of butter and 3-4 heaping spoonfuls of flour) and slowly stirred the blended soup into the roux. I also didn't have bay leaves, so I used 1/2t of thyme instead.

I rarely come back and write a review on a recipe, but I thought this one deserved it. When I was reading through this, I noticed quite a few comments saying to skip all the herbs, just do a simple salt, pepper, olive oil, garlic mix. While I agree that results in very good potatoes, follow the recipe. You won't regret it. This blend of herbs is AMAZING. Everyone loved them (served to 12 people with a variety of taste preferences).

So easy to make and delicious! I only wish the crescent rolls came in 10oz packages so it worked better with my larger pie pan.
