I was not fond of the cake recipe. It was a little dry and I did not bake the cake for the full time. I did make my own whipped cream and I sliced the banana vs putting the entire banana into the roll. I made it for my husband and it did not have enough banana flavor. I would consider making the whipped cream with banana next time but use a different cake recipe.
I added 2 tablespoons of orange juice to give extra orange flavor. Tip on baking make sure to press flatter in middle. Will puff a little during baking. Bake until brown around outside edges or middle will be doughy. Second batch definitely better than my first but a real crowd pleasure. Great taste!! I also drizzled white choc over top when cooled. 2 thumbs up!!
I had this recipe from a Pillsbury cookbook years ago. It has a mild citrus taste from the lemon zest and it’s a real crowd pleaser. Easy serving slice between the rolls. Simple to make. I’m so glad I was able to relocate it on ALL RECIPES yay!
