Friends have been recommending this. I halved the recipe and made some yesterday, seasoning some ground turkey for Big Mac bowls. It was great. I can't wait to try it on other meat, veggies, and a wide array of recipes. I had to go to Pinterst to find the recipe and followed the link to allrecipes. As usual, it did not come up in a search on allrecipes.
I've made this recipe at least a half dozen times. It's my very favorite hummus recipe. I love to have it with veggies for a snack or as part of a meal. I don't always have fresh basil on hand, but when available, it really adds a lot. Excellent recipe!
Man, this one is amazing, right up there with the roasted red pepper hummus also on the allrecipes website. I added a couple of additional garlic cloves, but other than that, would not change a thing. Make this. You will not be disappointed.
This is a spectacular base line recipe from which one can eat and serve it as is for a delicious side dish, or embellish it in one of countless ways for variety. I've prepared it twice in less than a week. I used ghee and decided to fill in the gaps between the cauliflower pieces with Wild Wonder (multi-colored) tomatoes from Costco, which somehow take on a sweeter flavor in the roasting process. One can also add a variety of herbs and spices, but salt and pepper allow the base flavor of the cauliflower to shine, and the roasting process softens it up, making eat easy to chew. Highly recommended!
My family raved about this recipe. I had a four pound pork roast and needed to get supper prepared quickly, so I switched my slow cooker to high after about an hour, which completed the process in another 60 to 90 minutes. Yes, no doubt the meat would have been more tender and flavorful with a low, slow cooking process, but we loved it anyway. I received special compliments on the gravy, which could not have been any better! It was perfect, and I did not add any sugar; it was plenty sweet enough. I HIGHLY recommend this recipe. It's a winner.
I enjoyed this recipe, though not as much as other cooked cabbage recipes. The recipe leaves room for embellishing from other spices. I added some fennel seed, and Italian seasoning, which were great. I also added some white pepper, which I love, and provided a little extra bite. I used some rotisserie chicken from Costco, which made the soup more substantial and added protein. This recipe is as healthy as you can get. Check out the nutrition information. Adding chicken only adds a few calories. I prefer diced tomatoes because stewed tomatoes come with four or five whole tomatoes, which means you don't get tomatoes in every bite. I ate two bowls guilt-free and without batting an eye.
