I made as described except I used a 2 Tbls. Tomato Paste (out of sauce) and I cooked 1 C of dry pinto beans until plump. I added them to the finished sauce. I used a bit of bean liquid to thin the sauce to our desired consistency. My husband said it was the best chili dog he’s ever eaten! He’s always honest so tells me if something is just “ok”. Will absolutely make this again!!
Absolutely delicious!! A keeper for my family! The only two changes I made were I used diced tomatoes instead of tomato paste and water and I added 1/2 tsp. Fennel Seeds. My husband loves Fennel in his pizza sauce. This recipe is simple and delightfully flavorful. THANK YOU!
I made two changes. I used organic plain yogurt to marinade the chicken, refrigerated 20 hours and I used finely crushed Corn Flakes instead of flour. Otherwise, I followed the recipe. I’m not sure if those were the culprits but there wasn’t much flavor. The chicken tasted plenty salty but flavors weren’t absorbed. I’ll consider trying this again using flour as Chef John has written but I’m not sure that will help the spice flavors. The spices are those with substantial flavor so I expected to find those flavors within the meat but that wasn’t the case.
DELICIOUS!! Hubby says much better than Olive Garden! I used 3 nickel sized Garlic cloves, freshly grated 1/2 Parmesan & 1/2 Romano to equal what recipe called for. I also added 1/4 C Cream Cheese to help w creaminess at the end but I don’t think it was necessary in hindsight. I used 2 C Heavy Whipping Cream. That amount was perfect for 1 lb. Fettuccini. I thought it was too salty at first but once over the noodles it was just perfect!
FABULOUS rice pudding recipe! Only the second time I’ve ever made Rice Pudding. This is a keeper for sure! I used whole milk with 1 pint half and half (ran out of milk). I cooked a 3” cinnamon stick with the milk/rice in my heavy stainless pot. I added a 4th egg as someone recommended but I think it may be too much. I’ll use 3 next round. No problem sticking until last 10”. Turned out a little thick so I thinned it with a little canned milk (ran out of 1/2 & 1/2)!
