This is a terrific recipe! All these spices together make a tasty Cajun rub. I made it for the first time for company we had over, and she really enjoyed it!
I love this recipe! It’s the first pan of cabbage I personally made that I enjoyed! LOL! The vinegar and sugar are everything. I used 1/2 a cup of water instead of a whole cup and I simmered for 10 minutes instead of 20-25 because I don’t like my cabbage to be very soggy. I also added carrots for both taste and color (I didn’t have caraway seeds on hand). In the future I’ll also add more onion. Love it!
Love this dish! It's hearty and very quick and easy to make. I cooked the eggs the Chef John way: on top of the stove. And bc I tried it the night after I saw the recipe, I had no canned crushed tomatoes. So I improvised with one chopped fresh tomato, and fished off two almost-empty salsa jars. Yum yum!!
Best breakfast ever! I ran out of paprika while seasoning, so I used garlic piercer on the other half of the batch. Very good! Can't wait to make it again... and figure out how to use the drippings!
