I could have sworn I had Italian sausage in my freezer. Instead, I only had Bratwurst. So that is what I used. I did not use the additional 1/4 cup of oil and the potatoes browned up beautifully with only a few teaspoons of olive oil used in the first step. No wine either, just the chicken broth. The Brats added great flavor to the potatoes and vegetables. Maybe next time, I will use a mix of both Italian and brats sausages. Thanks for the recipe.
Too much vinegar. I had to tone the acidic taste down with brown sugar. I skipped the mustard. Even though it wasn't for us, I still enjoy trying new recipes.
This went over well in my home. I did not have the Swanson brand beef broth and instead used the "Better than Bullion" brand of beef base mixed with water. It worked well for us. The chops were moist and tasty. I served them with herbed rice, corn and garlic knots (rolls). The gravy in this recipe is very flavorful. It'll be great with leftovers tonight on mashed potatoes.
These were very good! I thought they'd be too dry but they were not. I had a few slices of "everything" bread that I had to use up and it worked well in this recipe. I made slider-sized burgers and placed on Hawaiian sweet rolls. We enjoyed them. Thank you to Cheerios for submitting another unique recipe. I wish I had made these much sooner. RIP my AR friend. You are missed.
I love this butter! As other's suggested, I reduced the amount of lemon. This is one of those recipes that tastes better a day or two later allowing the flavors to blend. For me, the ingredient flavors seemed to flow, one by one, as I could taste each of them. Great on toast and biscuits!
