I cut this recipe in half. I used Taco Bell taco seasoning three tablespoons and double the water because I was afraid it would burn. I halfed the whole recipe. I made my own cilantro rice in an instant pot and made Goya Spanish black beans from scratch. It didn't need anything else. Perfect. I much rather prefer this cut of meat in this type of recipe than in beef stew.
OUTSTANDING. My modifications: Instead of beef broth I used a packet of dry au jus mix with 10.5 oz can of water, splash of soy sauce, Worchester & balsamic, and 1 tsp of salt. We like ours with provolone cheese on the roll. RESTAURANT QUALITY AND SO EASY! YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY
Outstanding. I use two or three onions; one is not enough. Instead of condensed beef and chicken soup I use two cans each of chicken broth and beef broth. This is so much better than some restaurants French onion soup I've had. So easy. And you can freeze this. Definitely use a French onion crock. Definitely do not omit the au jus packet. Delicious.
There's an easier way to making these and you don't need to use a half a cup of oil. All you need to do is spray the chips with olive oil spray, then sprinkle with kinder's seasoning "the blend" which has salt, pepper and garlic. Throw it in the oven for 6 or 7 minutes. Fabulous. PS. The oil that I use is garlic oil inside the cooking spray container.
