I made it, I liked them; I need to tweak it a bit to get it to taste like mom's. I think more mustard would do.I'm not sure what's up with AbarJbar - They seem to be posting on all the recipes I looked at with the same comment and I can't find any recipe here for "Deviled Eggs by Margaret Sanders.

I haven't had this in years and was craving it but at $3.50 a can it really put me off, so off to the internet I went. I made fresh beans from dry and couldn't find my scale so it would have been nice to have a cup equivalent (1.5, I used an old 15oz tomato sauce can). I didn't have/find my cayenne so I used dark chili powder, 6 finely diced pickled jalapeno slices because I like it hotter, sweet smoked Hungarian paprika because that's what I have, and mashed it up by hand until it was creamy. I drained the beans just enough and the vinegar gave it the bite my other home made attempts were missing. Next time I'll double down again on the peppers, overall it's just what I was looking for!
