Absolutely delicious! I added some garlic powder to the turkey mixture. Also, I added 2 Tbsp of brown sugar and a dash of liquid smoke to the BBQ topping.
Sorry, but this soup just wasn't for me. I was going to rate 3 stars but since my husband said it was ok I'm giving 4 stars. I used organic chicken broth instead of water, other than that I followed the recipe exactly as is. I don't think I will be making this recipe again.
This is such a tasty and easy recipe! To me is more of a cake than a brownie, very, very moist. I reduced the sugar to ¾ cup and was enough for us, I don’t really like over sweet desserts. I also added ½ tsp vanilla extract and I didn’t add any walnuts because I didn’t have on hand.
Next time I will use only half of the butter and some applesauce to cut on fat. Thank you BakerJim!
Excellent!!!! I was skeptical at first about the amount of balsamic vinegar called for this dish. Then, after I read a few reviewers and some people said that they doubled the sauce, I decided to give it a try. I browned the chicken first and set aside, then sautéed the onions, garlic and vegetables (I only had green/red bell peppers and onions on hand), then all other ingredients along with ½ cup of chicken broth and added everything in my crockpot for a couple of hours. Served over Basmati brown rice.
This chicken turned out sooo good! I made this recipe in the crockpot. Defrosted the chicken first, added onions and garlic, and only 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. Instead of salad dressing I used 1/4 cup tomato sauce and a dash of liquid smoke flavoring.
