Made this, and it tastes so good. Rabbits were sourced from my homestead. Currant jelly sourced from local farm stand (but next year I'll make my own because I discovered a thicket of currant bushes on our property). The picture I added is from before I made the gravy.
This tastes AMAZING. It was a challenge. I made it as directed, and I don't know why it seemed so difficult. But it was. I think a big part of it was that my spice cabinet was in disarray, and I had a bit of a mental breakdown when I was making the spice mix. I also would just make a roux instead of using mashed potato to make a bit of a sauce for the pie filling next time (hahaha).
This is a really good recipe! Very simple and easy to make. I used homemade goat buttermilk, because, oh my goodness, I have a LOT of goat's milk. Garnished with goat cream cheese and chocolate chips. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us. I doubled the recipe, but next time I'm quadrupling it, so I can freeze them.
