This recipe looks thorough, but it's missing a very important note: how much it yields. 16 servings of what size? When you need it for a recipe that calls for 3 cups, you really need to know this detail. So I Googled it and found that whipping cream doubles in size when whipped. For some reason, mine didn't. But it's was still tasty. I used anise instead of vanilla because I was putting it on strawberries and that's a really good combination. And I doubled the sugar based on other comments. I am pleased, all in all, but I did have to add canned on top of my homemade, because I ran out.

I can't eat hot-spicy type foods, so I used a home grown blonde bell pepper, with almost no discernable heat to it. Very tasty sauce. Will have to try it on chicken soon!

I loved it! I leave out the hot-spices in recipes because it doesn't like me, but it is great without them. My husband didn't like the cubes of butternut squash in it, but I did! So, I just didn't serve pieces of it to him. =) I also found that the ground turkey was tough, and maybe that's because of the brand and not all turkey is that way, but I will probably stick to using 3% fat ground beef. I also make my chili with a can of every kind of legume I can find... black beans, great white northerns, white navy, navy, black-eyed peas, etc. It makes a whole lot, and freezes well. But the greater the variety of beans you use, the healthier it is for you.

I only used a little cumin (not a fan), a little curry & no cayenne because I can't have anything hot-spicy. It's a little bland that way, but very healthy. I may try adding a little more salt.

I loved it! Just the right kick with the wasabi peas!
