I found my self to be craving chocolate late last night so i found this recipe and decided to make it right away. I let my son try it today and in the words of my 8 year old "i give this recipe infinity stars because it was so so yummy!!". I must admit i totally concur. I did omit the nuts and marshmallows because i did not have any. And i put it into a square pyrex dish. It only took 14 minutes to cook. I found it DEVILISHLY rich so i did not add the frosting. This is a very easy brownie cake (because that is what it is). This is going to be a super Keeper. I love the thought of having it cooking while we are eating dinner so it will be all warm and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Oh My Goodness! This was soooo good. I didn't change not one ingredient. I used my bread machine to do all the kneading and rising. I then did the final punch, turned it out gave it a little dusting with flour kneaded it twice and shaped it to fit my pizza stone that i pre-heated. I let it sit on the hot stone a few minutes to let the heat penetrate through the dough a little. I spread some pizza sauce on it then topped it with bacon, grilled chicken, salami, roasted red onion, red, green and yellow bell peppers and a lot of cheese. It was done in 20 minutes. Thanks Jason for a truly top notch recipe!
I made these today and i just I loved this recipe, i did add and extra 2 Tablespoon of milk as i found the batter a little too stiff. I have a mini donut pan and used that. I put the batter into a piping bag with a wide opening and piped the batter into the pan to insure even distribution. They baked in 13 minutes. I did dunk some in the cinnamon sugar but i also melted some chocolate, dipped the tops in to cover and then sprinkled some sprinkles on top of the chocolate. They looked and tasted AMAZING!!! A definite favorite in this house.
I love this bread, i made it into 8 mini loafs and 12 muffins. I like to add the juice that is in the pineapple can too. I used self raising flower so there was no need for the salt or the baking soda. I was asked to find some kid friendly recipes for the school canteen. Well this one made the kids rave and the teachers too. Next time i make it for my hubby i am going to throw in a 1/4 cup semi sweet choc chips and serve it right out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. mmmmm
It was delicious, i made 4 times as much as the recipe calls for, but i did use some suggestions others made. I added 2 cans Rotel diced tomatoes with chilies and 1 can corn drained. It was a big hit, i had sour cream and different kinds of grated cheeses and scoops corn chips to serve with it. I will be making this over and over again.
