When planning a get-together on a budget, you have two choices: You can buy expensive cocktail glassware and resort to bargain cocktail ingredients, or you can buy inexpensive glassware and spend your money on quality ingredients.

If you fall into the "inexpensive glassware" camp, you need to head to your nearest Dollar Tree.

The value store has a super useful kitchen goods aisle with everything from bench scrapers to beautiful dishware. The store also has glassware, and if you're looking for some pretty glasses to up your cocktail game without breaking the budget, you need to check these out.

Dollar Tree’s Yucatan Margarita Glasses

Margaritas—with or without a salt rim—are commonly served in one of two types of glassware. Margaritas on the rocks can be served in a rocks glass or in what’s known as a margarita glass, a glass with a long stem and a signature bowl shape that lets the drinker know they’re about to enjoy the tequila-forward cocktail. Frozen margaritas are usually served in a margarita glass.

We recently spotted $1.25 stemmed margarita glasses in Dollar Tree's kitchen goods section that look remarkably similar to Crate & Barrel glasses that sell for $5.95. Dollar Tree's Yucatan margarita glasses are about 80 percent less expensive while being 100 percent as attractive and functional.

The clear glasses hold 13.5 ounces of liquid and have great reviews on Dollar Tree's website. Customers rave about how “sturdy” they are. Others think they’re great for serving desserts, such as ice cream or pudding. A few mentioned that for the price, they work for crafting “margarita candles.”

One caveat—many who ordered the glasses online by the case found that one or more of the glasses broke during shipping. But if you buy them at the Dollar Tree store, you’ll be able to make sure your specialty cocktail glasses are in good shape.

Once you get them home and wash them, you’re ready to put on a little Jimmy Buffet and start shaking up a margarita.
