Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) wheel Brie cheese

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons whipping cream

  • 1 tablespoon Bourbon whiskey

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed Aleppo chiles

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil, and spray foil with nonstick spray.

  2. Place cheese wheel on a solid surface. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the rind off the top. Place cheese onto the prepared pan. Fold a long piece of foil to create a strip slightly taller than the Brie; wrap around the wheel to form a collar.

  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Remove Brie to a platter.

  4. Meanwhile, melt butter over medium heat in a small pan. Stir in brown sugar, maple syrup, whipping cream, and bourbon. Bring to a full boil; reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Remove from heat; stir in chopped pecans and crushed chilies. Pour over Brie. Serve with crackers.
