Great dish to serve at a BBQ or summer dinner. Easy and tasty! This recipe has been used by the women on my husband's side of the family for years. This freezes well.

Ingredients

  • cooking spray

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 2 cups chopped onion

  • 2 (16 ounce) cans pork and beans

  • 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, drained

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons mustard

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray.

  2. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and onions are translucent, 10 to 15 minutes. Drain well.

  3. Mix pork and beans, kidney beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, and salt in a large bowl. Stir hamburger mixture into bean mixture. Pour hamburger-bean mixture into prepared casserole dish.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until bubbling, about 45 minutes.
