Ingredients

  • 10 ripe pears - peeled, cored, and chopped, or more to taste

  • 1 teaspoon water, or as needed

  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • 2 pinches ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Combine pears and water in a pot; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until pears begin to break down, about 25 minutes. Stir lemon juice and cinnamon into pears. Blend pears with a hand blender or by transferring to a blender until smooth.

Cook's Note:

You will notice that when the pears start to boil down there will be a lot more liquid. Just pour some off as you go but don't throw it away. Put it in a tea cup and enjoy a nice hot cup of cinnamon and pear tea. Really nice!

Sugar can also be added if you want a sweeter sauce.
