These turkey poppers are a constant request from my friends for dinner get-togethers. They are simple to make and turn out incredibly delicious. The amount of ingredients will depend on how many you want to make. Keep in mind you will be halving the jalapeños.

Yield:
20 jalapeño poppers

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

  • 10 jalapeno peppers, halved and seeded

  • 1 (12 ounce) package turkey bacon

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Mix together cream cheese and Cheddar cheese in a large bowl until well combined. Spread cream cheese mixture into the center of each jalapeño half.

  3. Cut bacon slices in half crosswise. Wrap 1 bacon strip around the center of each jalapeño half. Place wrapped jalapeños on a nonstick baking sheet.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until bacon is cooked and jalapeños are slightly tender, 10 to 15 minutes.

Tips

If you like your bacon extra crispy, I suggest using precooked turkey bacon.

You can add some jalapeño seeds to the cream cheese mixture for an extra kick.

Make sure to use room-temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
