This Viral Taco Bell Order Put the Cheesy Gordita Crunch to Shame

And it's monstrously good.

With the rise of TikTok, I think I just need to throw everything I thought I knew about fast food out the window. Between learning the worst time to go to McDonald’s and discovering that cherry pepper relish exists at Jersey Mikes, the internet has a whole world of fast food knowledge that I’ve yet to learn. But I sure will try to learn it all.

Call me easily food-influenced, but I’m no snob when it comes to fast food, and I’ll try any order once. So, when I saw this Taco Bell trick for making a giant taco quesadilla making the rounds on TikTok, I knew it was one I had to try. The viral order starts with a Chicken Quesadilla that you unfold and place three Doritos Locos Tacos inside before folding it back up again to create a huge meal that resembles the Cheesy Gordita Crunch—just on a giant scale.

It’s hard to pinpoint where exactly this order originated because one of the oldest videos showing the hack from TikTok user @bean710dipp in January only has about 1,000 views—while videos in August have tens of thousands. So, unfortunately, as with many internet hacks, the original “hacker” is usurped by accounts with larger followings.

What Is the Viral Taco Bell Order?

Whoever originally came up with this order certainly knew how to hack the menu—and they must really love a Cheesy Gordita Crunch and Crunchwrap Supreme because this quesadilla is the best of both worlds.

If you want to try it, order a Chicken Quesadilla (or your favorite quesadilla flavor) and ask the employee not to cut it. Then, order three Doritos Locos Tacos (either supreme or regular). Carefully unfold the quesadilla, then add the three tacos in a pyramid shape—two on the bottom and one on the top. Fold the quesadilla back up and enjoy.

This order is not for the faint of heart—or for when you’re not that hungry. First and foremost, it’s a lot of food. The stuffed quesadilla is enormous and, honestly, very messy thanks to the quesadilla’s Creamy Jalapeño Sauce, or any other sauces you choose to add.

There’s also a lot of taco shell and tortilla without any filling. I found myself trying to eat around these parts so I could save room for the actual meat and veggies.

Normally, I order a Crunchwrap Supreme from Taco Bell because I like the contrast between the crunchy and soft ingredients. This order still gives you that, but with more cheese and sauce—similar to the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, but on a tortilla instead of flatbread.

The best part, hands down, is the Doritos Locos Tacos because, while you could use a regular taco shell like the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, the Nacho Cheese Dorito shell adds more flavor and pizazz.

I do, however, think three Doritos Locos Tacos is too many because they overflow out of the quesadilla and make it extra messy, so I’d recommend just two.

All in all, if you love layering your flavors and are looking for something new, this unique order is worth a try.
