The $3 Walmart Bakery Item Customers Are 'Sprinting’ to the Store to Try

While we often rave about Sam's Club and its amazing bakery section, we won't allow you to sleep on the wholesale retailer's cousin, Walmart. The store is more accessible and offers smaller-sized desserts that fit everyone’s budget—and it has a lot of great options.

Walking through the Walmart bakery, you will see many Marketside labeled goods. Marketside is one of Walmart’s private labels for fresh food and bakery items, similar to Great Value and its newest line, Bettergoods. Whether you’ve been overlooking the Walmart bakery or consider yourself a devoted fan, Marketside’s newest dessert might convince you that it’s worth a special trip to the store. 

Marketside No Bake Blueberry Cheesecake Cups

Social media’s Morgan Chomps frequently shares food product reviews on Instagram and TikTok, including various Walmart finds. Chomps recently shared her latest finds from the Walmart bakery, and one in particular caught our attention: No Bake Blueberry Cheesecake cups.

“Walmart’s single-serve dessert cups are so good in general, but they somehow took it up a notch with this one,” said Chomps.

The transparent cup allows you to see each layer of crust, cheesecake, blueberry filling, and whipped cream. Ground graham cracker crust fills the bottom of the cup, which Chomps says is “some of the best, slightly salty graham cracker crumbles [she's] ever had.”

The no-bake cheesecake itself is light and airy with a hint of tang. A layer of blueberry pie filling tops the cheesecake but not so much that it overwhelms the luscious, creamy center and graham cracker flavors. The final layer features piped star-shaped whipped cream, topping off the decadent treat. And don’t worry if you don’t like blueberries; the no-bake cheesecake cup also comes plain for those who prefer something less sweet. 

The video’s comment section fully agreed that the cheesecake cups are worth the hype. “I had the no-bake blueberry cheesecake, and it was so good,” said one commenter. “That blueberry cheesecake is [fire] 🔥” said another. 

The cheesecake cups are near the special occasion cakes in the refrigerated bakery section.

More Walmart Bakery Finds

In addition to the cheesecake cups, Chomps shared two more bakery finds. Those who love King's Hawaiian Rolls will be thrilled with Walmart’s dupe, which Chomps says “are just as soft, sweet, and pillowy as the name-brand.” The bread, listed as Sweet Hawaiian Rolls, can be found in a four-pack labeled Sam’s Choice or in a larger package with Great Value branding. You can use the rolls in various recipes, including mini sandwiches and French toast.

Chomps also recommends Marketside's Cinnamon Swirl Iced Cake. “Walmart has some delicious loaf cake options, and I think this is my favorite one,” she says. She describes the sliced loaf cake as a cinnamon roll and coffee cake all in one. 

“Well....there goes my grocery budget!” one of her followers commented.

The good news is that many of these finds are less than five dollars, so you can treat yourself without breaking the bank. The bad news? Not all stores carry these items, so you might need to visit a couple before you hit the jackpot.
