Since then, she has built an impressive resume, publishing her cookbook in 2008 and having her articles and recipes appear in many established publications. Along with her contributions to Charlotte Druckman's anthology that highlights female voices in the food industry, her piece on the search for affordable health care, “Emergency Room,” was included in The DUST DIY Guide to Life. Farris has also written several personal pieces about parenting, anxiety, and her experience having ADHD. Currently, she is building a collection of essays about the implications of that diagnosis at 35 years old.
